Seated Side Bend: Open the Ribs Between Meetings
Sitting compresses the sides of the body. A slow side bend opens the space between the ribs and the hips and lets the breath move into the sides of the lungs.
This tip is scheduled for Monday 26 October 2026 — you’re early. It’s all here already; enjoy.
How to do it
- Sit tall with both sitting bones grounded.
- Inhale and raise both arms.
- Exhale and lean to the left, the right arm reaching over; keep both hips down.
- Breathe into the right ribs for 3 breaths.
- Inhale back to centre, then repeat to the right.
- Do 3 rounds each side.
