Calf Raises: Wake Up the Legs After Sitting
The calf muscles help push blood back up from the legs every time they contract. After long sitting, a couple of minutes of slow calf raises is an easy way to wake the legs up.
This tip is scheduled for Tuesday 27 October 2026 — you’re early. It’s all here already; enjoy.
How to do it
- Stand tall behind a chair with the fingertips lightly on the back for balance.
- Rise slowly onto the balls of the feet.
- Pause for a moment at the top.
- Lower the heels slowly, taking about 3 seconds.
- Repeat 15 times, rest, then do a second set.
