Eagle Arms at Your Desk: An Upper-Back Release
Wrapping the arms opens the space between the shoulder blades — exactly where screen work leaves people tight. It takes a minute and works in any chair.
This tip is scheduled for Monday 19 October 2026 — you’re early. It’s all here already; enjoy.
How to do it
- Sit tall and stretch the arms forward at shoulder height.
- Cross the right arm under the left at the elbows.
- Bend the elbows and bring the palms together — or the backs of the hands, or simply hug yourself.
- Lift the elbows slightly and move them away from the face.
- Breathe into the space between the shoulder blades for 5 breaths.
- Switch the arm on top and repeat.
