Shrug and Drop: Release Shoulders You Didn't Know Were Tense
Tension collects in the shoulders without us noticing. Lifting them on purpose and then letting them fall shows the muscles what 'relaxed' actually feels like.
This tip is scheduled for Monday 12 October 2026 — you’re early. It’s all here already; enjoy.
How to do it
- Sit tall with the arms relaxed.
- Inhale and lift both shoulders up toward the ears.
- Hold for 3 seconds and notice the tension.
- Exhale through the mouth and let the shoulders drop completely.
- Pause and notice the difference.
- Repeat 5 to 8 times.
