The 7-Minute Body Scan for a Racing Mind
Move your attention slowly from your feet to your face, one region at a time. You are not trying to relax each part — only to notice it. Relaxation tends to follow attention.
This tip is scheduled for Sunday 25 October 2026 — you’re early. It’s all here already; enjoy.
How to do it
- Lie on your back with the arms by your sides, palms up; a pillow under the knees is fine.
- Take three slow breaths.
- Bring your attention to the feet. Notice temperature, pressure, tingling — whatever is there.
- Move slowly upward: ankles, calves, knees, thighs, hips.
- Continue: belly, chest, hands, arms, shoulders, neck, face and jaw.
- Finish by sensing the whole body at once for a few breaths.
