Tree and Flamingo: A Balance Game for Kids
Turn balance practice into a game: who can be the stillest tree, or the steadiest flamingo? Children's balance improves quickly with play — and so does their focus.
This tip is scheduled for Saturday 7 November 2026 — you’re early. It’s all here already; enjoy.
How to do it
- Stand tall like a mountain and look at one spot.
- Tree: place one foot on the other ankle or calf, hands together at the chest. Count to 10.
- Back to mountain, then switch legs.
- Flamingo: lift one knee and spread the arms like wings. Count to 10.
- Play: who can stay still the longest with eyes open? Then try with eyes closed.
