Animal Flow for Kids: Cat, Cow, Dog and Cobra
Children learn yoga best as a story. Become a cat, a cow, a dog and a snake — with the sounds — then rest as a quiet mouse. Parents usually end up joining in.
This tip is scheduled for Saturday 17 October 2026 — you’re early. It’s all here already; enjoy.
How to do it
- Cat: on hands and knees, round your back and say 'meow'.
- Cow: drop your tummy, look up and say 'moo'.
- Dog: tuck your toes, lift your hips high, and wag a pretend tail.
- Cobra: lie on your tummy, hands under the shoulders, lift your chest and hiss like a snake.
- Mouse: fold into Child's Pose and be very quiet for 5 breaths.
- Tell the story twice.
