Supine Hamstring Stretch with a Strap
Lying down supports the back, and a strap — or a belt, or a towel — lets you stretch the back of the leg without straining to reach the foot.
This tip is scheduled for Wednesday 16 December 2026 — you’re early. It’s all here already; enjoy.
How to do it
- Lie on your back with the knees bent.
- Loop a strap, belt or towel around the ball of the right foot.
- Straighten the right leg toward the ceiling, holding the strap with both hands.
- Keep the left foot on the floor, or extend the left leg if that is comfortable.
- Hold for 5 to 8 breaths, then switch sides.
