In-Flight Stretches for Long Journeys
On a long flight, bus or train journey, small movements every half hour keep the legs and back from stiffening. None of them needs you to leave your seat.
This tip is scheduled for Saturday 19 December 2026 — you’re early. It’s all here already; enjoy.
How to do it
- Ankle pumps: lift the toes, then the heels — 20 times.
- Knee lifts: lift one knee toward the chest, hold for 5 seconds, alternate — 10 each.
- Shoulder rolls and neck half-circles — 5 each.
- Seated twist: hold the armrest and turn gently each way.
- Stand and walk the aisle when it is safe to do so.
- Drink water regularly.
