Chandra Bhedana: A Left-Nostril Breath to Wind Down
Chandra is the moon side — cooling and quieting. Inhaling through the left nostril and exhaling through the right is a traditional evening practice for settling down before rest.
This tip is scheduled for Sunday 20 December 2026 — you’re early. It’s all here already; enjoy.
How to do it
- Sit tall and rest the left hand on the knee.
- Bring the right hand to the face: thumb beside the right nostril, ring finger beside the left.
- Close the right nostril and inhale slowly through the left.
- Close the left nostril, release the right, and exhale slowly through the right.
- Repeat — always in through the left, out through the right — for 3 minutes.
