Standing Hip Circles: Oil the Hips Before the Day
Slow hip circles take the hip joints and lower back through a gentle range of movement. They are a good warm-up before walking, sport, or a long day of sitting.
This tip is scheduled for Wednesday 25 November 2026 — you’re early. It’s all here already; enjoy.
How to do it
- Stand with the feet wider than hip-width, hands on the hips, knees soft.
- Draw slow circles with the hips: forward, left, back, right.
- Make the circles as big as is comfortable.
- Do 10 circles in one direction, then 10 the other way.
