Chair Yoga for Seniors: Ten Minutes, No Floor Needed
A sturdy chair makes yoga available to almost everyone. This short sequence moves every major joint and lifts the breath — without getting down on the floor.
This tip is scheduled for Sunday 6 December 2026 — you’re early. It’s all here already; enjoy.
How to do it
- Sit tall near the front of a sturdy chair with the feet flat.
- Arm raises: inhale the arms up, exhale them down — 5 times.
- Seated marching: lift one knee, then the other — 20 steps.
- Side bends: reach one arm over — 3 on each side.
- Ankle circles: 5 each way, each foot.
- Rest with the hands on the belly for 10 slow breaths.
