The SEGA Intercontinental Yoga Alliance has launched the Tamil Jyotisha Explorer — a browser-based educational tool that lets Yoga students compute their own South Indian Vedic birth chart in one click.
Jyotisha is one of the six classical Vedangas, the companion disciplines to the Vedas — studied alongside Yoga, Vyakarana, Chandas, Nirukta and Kalpa. A yogi was traditionally expected to understand not only the body (asana) and the breath (pranayama), but also the sky (jyotisha).
The new tool computes: sidereal planetary positions with Lahiri Ayanamsha, Rasi Chakra (D1) and Navamsa (D9) in the South Indian Kattangal 4×4 grid layout, Nakshatra with Pada, Lagnam (Ascendant), Vimshottari Dasha 120-year timeline, Chevvai Dosham and Ezharai Sani classical screens, and elemental balance.
Everything runs in the browser — no data ever leaves your device. Ten countries with over 100 cities are pre-configured for one-click location selection.
