Methodology & data governance

Where the numbers come from

Data model

SourceLive query against the SEGA rankings backend (Supabase) — the same data that powers the Rankings + Athletes pages.
Update frequencyInstant. Every athlete performance written to the ledger updates the analytics view on next page load.
Medal thresholdsComputed per-category (gender × age-group × division). The top 3 scores in each category define gold / silver / bronze thresholds.
Winning Gap formulaGapmedal = Thresholdmedal − Athlete_score. Negative gap means the athlete has met that medal band.
VerificationEvery source score is signed by the AI scoring station at time of capture (see Evidence Centre §9).
CorrectionsAdjustments go through the appeals process (Evidence Centre §8) with logged reason. Historical values are preserved.
PrivacyPublic analytics show display name + country + score only. Minors' full data is not published; adults may opt out.
Educational sports-intelligence platform. Analytics reflect the SEGA championship measurement standard. Official standings are always the source of truth on rankings.html. For per-athlete corrections, please contact Prof Segar via the contact form.
